People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Stafford, Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
Shifts: working 5 nights between Monday and Sunday - start times 18:00 - 21:00
Pay rate: £18.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties: Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
- Between 1 – 3 drops using pump trucks
- Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed
Essential Skills: As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
- Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
- Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
- Experience driving any commercial vehicles
- Previous experience with multi drop deliveries
Training: Industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
