People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Test Operative to join our well-established client based in Skelmersdale on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity offering weekly pay, excellent working hours, an early finish on Fridays and genuine opportunities for career progression within a growing engineering and manufacturing environment.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Test Operative, Test Technician, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Engineering Assistant or Production Test Assistant.
Rates of Pay: £13.61 per hour
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:15
- Friday: 08:00 – 15:15

Day-to-Day Duties: As a Production Test Operative, your duties will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day testing of modular units
- Ensuring strict compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relating to Health & Safety and quality
- Operating equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
- Completing inspection and testing activities in line with project requirements
- Responding effectively to planned and amended testing schedules
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards within work areas
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across testing activities and productivity
- Reporting work accurately and maintaining detailed records
- Supporting waste reduction and energy conservation procedures
- Following all company policies, procedures and legislative requirements
- Maintaining confidentiality relating to company operations and business activities
Essential Skills: To be successful as a Production Test Operative you will need:
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Engineering knowledge or background
- Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work safely and efficiently within a production environment
Desirable Experience:
- Engineering qualification
- Previous production testing experience
Working Environment:
- Factory-based operations
- Use of PPE including ear plugs, safety glasses and safety boots
- Potential off-site working where required
Training Provided: Industry-related training provided and ongoing support and development throughout the assignment.
