People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our well-established client based in Skelmersdale on a temporary ongoing basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. This is a fantastic opportunity offering £26.55 per hour, ongoing work, and the chance to join a progressive manufacturing business.
This role would suit candidates with experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Shift Engineer.
Shifts- Week 1: Monday – Thursday: 18:00 – 06:00
- Week 2: Monday – Wednesday: 06:00 – 18:00 (Thursday off), Friday – Sunday: 18:00 – 06:00
- Week 3: Thursday – Sunday: 06:00 – 18:00
- Week 4: OFF
£26.55 per hour

- Completing planned preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and machinery
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment
- Ensuring compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Work
- Following isolation and lockout procedures at all times
- Maintaining equipment in line with preventative maintenance schedules
- Ensuring maintenance areas are kept clean, organised, and safe
- Responding promptly to breakdowns and restoring equipment efficiently
- Working in accordance with all Health and Safety legislation
- A time-served multi-skilled engineering apprenticeship
- A recognised electrical qualification
- An HNC (or equivalent) in a manufacturing or engineering discipline
- Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Available for an immediate start
