People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our busy client based in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for consistent night work. The role is travelling from Swindon to Coventry, drop and reload then return to site.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or an Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shifts:
- Monday to Friday
- £18.25 per hour (Monday to Friday)

Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver will include:
- Class 1 deliveries and trunking work
- Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
- Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
- Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
- Assisting with loading and unloading when required
To be successful in this role as an HGV Class 1 Driver you will need:
- Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
- Minimum of twelve months' experience driving CE vehicles
- Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good spoken and written English
- Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
