People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver based in South Elmsall, Pontefract. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine potential for progression.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Van Driver, Multi Drop Driver or Courier.
Shifts: Working any 5 days out of 7 - 05:00-08:00 start times
Rates of Pay:
- Days basic rate = £13.35
- Days OT (after 40 hours) = £20.03

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries (10–20 drops per day)
- Load and unload boxes and packages
- Completing store deliveries and collections
- Ensure all loads are safe and secure
- Complete vehicle inspections and report faults
- Operate a 3.5 tonne van safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with staff at delivery locations
Essential Skills:
- Previous multi-drop experience (preferred)
- Valid UK Category B Driving Licence held for at least two years (no more than 6 Points)
- Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues
- Good understanding of road networks and navigational tools
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and use own initiative
Desirable Experience:
- Experience driving commercial vehicles
- Previous multi drop experience is preferred but not essential
Training Provided:
Candidates must pass a driving assessment for this role and will then receive industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
