People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Driver's Mate to join our well-established client based in Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
Shifts
- Working five days out of seven
- Start times from 07:00
Rates of Pay
- Basic: £12.58 per hour
- Overtime after eight hours: £18.86 per hour
- Saturday: £18.86 per hour
- Sunday: £25.15 per hour
- Bank Holiday: £25.15 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
- Unloading building materials and home interior improvement products (excluding bathrooms and kitchens)
- Completing customer deliveries in a timely manner while adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
- Supporting the driver during deliveries and collections
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Manager or Supervisor
- Providing excellent customer service
Essential Skills
- Previous experience working as a Driver's Mate
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A good level of spoken and written English
- Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills
- A good level of physical fitness as heavy lifting is involved
- Completion of an initial online assessment
Desirable Experience
- A clean UK driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential
Training Provided
- Four-hour online training must be completed before attending assessment
- Practical training will be completed on-site
- On-the-job training provided following a successful assessment
