ELECTRICAL FITTER / PANEL WIRER MONDAY – FRIDAY: ROTATING AM/PM SHIFTS £30,000 – £40,000 PER ANNUM People Solutions are excited to partner with a leading engineering client in their search for an experienced Electrical Fitter/Panel Wirer. In this hands-on role, you will bring your skills in electrical installations, wiring, and equipment layout to support our client’s projects. Reporting to the EC & I Workshop Supervisor, this role is crucial for ensuring high standards in the layout, wiring, and maintenance of electrical control panels and specialized machinery. Benefits • Competitive Salary of £30,000-£40,000 per annum • Opportunity for overtime – Boost your income with regular OT opportunities • Shift Flexibility – Rotating AM/PM shifts to fit your schedule • Comprehensive Training – Enhance your skills with ongoing training and certification • Career Progression – Join a leading company with potential for growth Day to Day Duties • Laying out and installing electrical components within control panels and equipment frameworks. • Installing cable trays, trunking, and conduits to meet industry standards. • Testing and wiring electrical control panels, frame-mounted components, and specialized machinery. • Using hand tools, power tools, and crimp tools safely and effectively. • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure all requirements are met safely and accurately. • Responding flexibly to both electrical and non-electrical tasks as needed. • Maintaining alignment with local client procedures, company standards, and legislative requirements. • Complying with all quality, health, and safety procedures while documenting any issues or roadblocks. Essential Skills • Level 3 Qualification or completion of a recognized training scheme or apprenticeship. • 18th Edition Electrical Safety Regulations (preferred). • Experience in wiring control panels and field wiring. • Proficiency in interpreting electrical GA, schematic, and wiring diagrams. • Ability to work independently and within a team, with a self-motivated approach to meeting deadlines. Desirable Experience • Certifications in MEWP, PASMA, harness, forklift, scissor lift, or scaffold inspection. • Mechanical fitting knowledge and ability to fit electrical components. • Ability to work with precision, marking out dimensions as per specified drawings.
