People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Administrator to provide temporary payroll cover for a well-established business based in East Kilbride. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking for a short-term assignment within a busy office environment.
This role would suit candidates who have previously worked as a Payroll Administrator, Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk, Payroll Specialist, Senior Payroll Administrator or Payroll Assistant.
Shifts:
- Tuesday 21st July 2026: 09:00 β Finish
- Tuesday 28th July 2026: 09:00 β Finish
Pay Rate: Β£13.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Processing weekly payroll for approximately thirty-plus employees
- Using Sage Payroll to accurately process employee wages
- Reviewing and processing clocking card, time and attendance records
- Managing payroll deductions and statutory payments
- Processing workplace pension contributions through Sage
- Maintaining accurate payroll records
- Resolving payroll queries where required
- Ensuring payroll is completed accurately and on time
Essential Skills:
- Extensive experience processing payroll from start to finish
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll
- Experience using clocking card and time and attendance systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Professional, reliable and trustworthy approach
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience administering workplace pensions through Sage
- Experience using the NEST Workplace Pension Scheme
Training: No training will be provided. Applicants must be experienced in Sage Payroll and confident managing the payroll process independently from start to finish.
