People Solutions are currently recruiting for a proactive and organised individual to join a team based in Gloucester in a varied and rewarding administrative role. This is a great opportunity to become the central point of support across operations, customer service, and office administration—making a real difference to both colleagues and customers every day.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as an Office Coordinator, Administrator or Office Assistant.
Shifts: Monday to Friday - 8.00am to 5.00pm
Annual Salary: between £25,119 - £25,979
What You'll Be Doing:
- Acting as the first point of contact for customers—handling enquiries, service requests, and complaints via phone, email, post, and in person, always delivering excellent service.
- Working closely with front-line teams to investigate and resolve customer queries effectively.
- Managing essential stock, including PPE and waste containers, and maintaining accurate records.
- Welcoming visitors as our “front of house” representative—creating a friendly, professional first impression for everyone who walks through our doors.
- Running reports, processing charging runs, and helping ensure accurate billing for both internal and external services (such as sports pitch bookings).
- Reviewing and processing monthly weighbridge data, investigating any discrepancies, and maintaining compliance through accurate reporting.
- Recording and tracking waste movements to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting finance processes by providing accurate information for invoicing and recycling credits.
- Keeping systems and databases up to date and well maintained.
- Communicating key service information clearly to both operational teams and customer service partners.
- Supporting HR processes, including notetaking at employee meetings.
- Raising purchase orders and assisting with supplier coordination.
- Providing general administrative support such as document preparation, filing, archiving, and handling incoming mail.
- Assisting the Operations & Transport Manager with the smooth running of the local depot.
