People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Fitter to join our well-established client based in Nuneaton, on a full-time permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity, offering an excellent annual salary, great benefits, and genuine opportunities for career progression. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of HGV vehicles, ensuring full compliance with Operator Licence and roadworthiness requirements.
Working times:
- Monday - Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
Salary: £46,800 per annum

Duties:
- Repair, maintain, and service all HGV vehicles and associated plant equipment
- Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and MOT preparation
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs in a cost-effective manner
- Prepare vehicles for annual tests and conduct road tests
- Complete all required documentation accurately and maintain detailed records
- Record and report vehicle damages and defects
- Ensure inspections are completed within specified timeframes
- Work in full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures
Essential skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience working with HGVs and associated accessories
- IRTEC certification – essential
- NVQ qualification preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of Safe Loading and Working Devices
- HGV licence preferred but not essential
- Ability to service, diagnose, and repair specialist equipment
Training:
Full training will be provided, with ongoing development support.
