Maintenance Technician - Islip
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join our well-established client based in Islip on a full-time basis.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Maintenance Technician , Maintenance Engineer or Facilities Technician .
Rates of Pay:
- £36,145 per annum
Shift Pattern:
As a Maintenance Technician , you will work:
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00 - 16:00

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as a Maintenance Technician are:
- Support the depot and other sites by ensuring that the site is safe and efficient, by being reactive and proactive to the tasks that need to be completed
- Undertake various planned preventative maintenance activities and weekly testing on a daily basis
- Complete sprinkler testing, racking inspections and repairs, generator testing, emergency lighting testing and caddy car servicing
- Complete shower/Legionella testing
- Undertake repairs as and when required through job requests from a number of stakeholders
- Prioritise system faults
- Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times
- Ensure quality of output at all times
- Accurately record all work undertaken
Essential Skills:
To be successful as a Maintenance Technician , you will need:
- Full driving licence
- ONC in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience of maintenance in a warehouse
- A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals and drawings
- Basic understanding of control systems and techniques
- Experience working at height
- Experience carrying out racking inspections and repairs
- PC literacy
- Understanding of preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
