HGV Class 1 Night Driver - South Elmsall, Pontefract to join our well-established retail client based in

South Elmsall, Pontefract .

This is an excellent opportunity offering competitive night rates of pay, ongoing work and the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

This role would suit candidates with previous experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, C+E Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

  • Shifts
  • Sunday to Saturday operation
  • Working pattern will include one weekend shift
  • Start times between 9:00pm and 11:30pm
  • Rates of Pay
  • Sunday to Thursday nights: £21.05 per hour
  • Friday nights: £23.05 per hour
  • Saturday nights: £25.60 per hour

  • Conducting trunk runs safely and efficiently

  • Completing daily vehicle checks

  • Adhering to all health, safety and compliance standards

Essential Skills

  • Valid UK Category CE Licence (HGV Class 1)
  • Minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Maximum of six penalty points with no major endorsement codes such as IN, DR, DD or TT
  • Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
  • Professional and reliable work ethic

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working for a retail haulier would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Training Provided
  • All drivers must successfully complete a driving assessment
  • Two-day paid classroom induction
  • Further training alongside a core driver following successful completion of the assessment and induction
  • Ongoing industry-related training and support throughout your assignment
