People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our well-established client based in Newport. This is a fantastic opportunity offering a salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, a company vehicle or fuel allowance, excellent work-life balance and genuine career progression opportunities. This role would suit candidates with experience as a Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Building Maintenance Electrician, Facilities Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer or Electrical Technician.

Rates of Pay
- £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Day-to-Day Duties
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across multiple commercial properties
- Responding to reactive maintenance requests and resolving electrical faults efficiently
- Diagnosing electrical issues and carrying out repairs using appropriate tools and equipment
- Conducting routine inspections to identify maintenance requirements and potential risks
- Installing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems and equipment
- Working in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Permit to Work systems and company procedures
- Completing maintenance records, job reports and associated documentation accurately
- Supporting wider building maintenance activities where required
- Ensuring sites remain safe, compliant and operational at all times
- Travelling between company locations across South Wales and the Midlands
Essential Skills
- Completed electrical apprenticeship
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification
- 18th Edition Electrical Regulations certification
- Experience within electrical maintenance, facilities maintenance or building services environments
- IPAF licence
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Experience using IT systems to record maintenance activities and reports
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable Experience
- Cladding and roofing experience
- CSCS Card
- Experience working across multiple sites
- Knowledge of commercial property maintenance
