People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a fast-growing waste management company based in Bristol, providing reliable waste services throughout the South West. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with a modern fleet of over 50 vehicles, offering strong rates of pay, temp-to-perm opportunities, and long-term stability within a professional operation. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a HGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, or Skip Driver.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- 06:00 – 16:00
Pay Rate:
- £16.50 per hour
- Temp-to-perm opportunity

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Safely operating and driving Category C vehicles
- Delivering and collecting skips across Bristol, Bath, Newport, and surrounding areas
- Operating 12-tonne and 18-tonne vehicles
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks at the start of each shift
- Working closely with the planning team to ensure smooth operations
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
- Adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
- Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
- Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers, and site staff
Essential Skills:
- Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
- Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, CD codes)
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong understanding of road safety and compliance
Training:
- Full industry-related training provided
- Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
