People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer, ideally with an Electrical bias to join our well-established client based in Manchester on a full-time permanent basis. Day to Day Duties
As a Multi skilled Engineer your duties will be:
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical PPM activities in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximize the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems.
- Ensuring on-site Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and maintaining accurate records/documentation associated with the PPM and plant maintenance, aiming to achieve and maintain standards of quality compatible with ISO 9002.
- Responding promptly and effectively to all electrical and mechanical-related reactive maintenance issues.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical and mechanical systems, including pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, sensors, and control systems.
- Coordinating visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with electrical and mechanical aspects of the PPM schedules.
- Conducting fault diagnosis and repairs on systems including Heating, Ventilation, and Building Services.
- Assisting with the installation, modification, or commissioning of new equipment as required.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company policies.
- Completing accurate time-sheets and reports as required by management.
- Adhering to security policies and procedures.
- Other duties as requested.
Essential Skills
It is essential as a Multi skilled Engineer that you:
- Completion of a nationally recognized electrical or mechanical apprenticeship.
- 18th Edition wiring regulations (or equivalent).
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Desirable Experience
It would be desirable as a Multi skilled Engineer if you:
- HNC/HND in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical).
- PLC fault-finding or programming qualification.
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
