People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client's well-established transport team based in Motherwell. This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive pay rates, long-term work, and genuine potential for career growth within a professional logistics business.
Shifts: 4 on / 4 off – Night shift
Pay Rate: £16.83 – £19.30 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
- Safely operate and drive Class 1 (CE) vehicles
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and documentation
- Load, transport, and deliver goods between designated locations
- Handle double-decker trailers where required
- Ensure all loads are secure and compliant with transport safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with transport teams and customers
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and road safety procedures
Essential Skills
- Valid UK Category CE Licence
- Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points (minor offences only – no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes)
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and compliance standards
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in retail or distribution deliveries
Training Provided
- Full onboarding support and driver induction
- Paid two-day site induction prior to starting
- Ongoing driver support and development throughout your assignment
