People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Sheet Metal Guillotine Operator, Metal Cutting Operative, or Fabrication Machine Operator in Govan, Glasgow to join our well-established client based in Govan, Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and long-term career progression.
Shifts:
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:45
- Friday: 08:00 – 15:00
Rates of Pay:
- Up to £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Operating guillotine machinery, including Amada
- Cutting sheet metal as part of the manufacturing process
- Working from technical drawings and job specifications
- Using hand and power tools
- Measuring materials accurately to ensure quality and precision
- Following internal processes and health and safety procedures
Essential Skills:
- Experience within sheet metal, fabrication, or manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Physically able to handle and manoeuvre metal sheets
Desirable Experience:
- Previous guillotine machine experience
- Experience working with aluminium, pre-coat sheet and stainless steel
- Counterbalance forklift licence preferred but not essential
Training Provided:
- On-the-job training and ongoing support
