People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join our well-established client based in Irlam. Immediate starts available. Monday to Friday working, no weekend work, ongoing training, and a genuine Temp to Perm opportunity with rates of up to £16.00 per hour.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering an excellent salary and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. Our client is initially looking for experienced CNC Operators, Programmers, or Setters to support fabrications on the shop floor, producing small and large one-off cabinets. This role would suit candidates with experience as a CNC Operator, CNC Setter, CNC Programmer, CNC Machinist, Machine Operator or Manufacturing Operative.

As a Machine Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Operating CNC Elumatec, CNC HAAS and Elumatec dual mitre saw to produce cabinets and lockers
- Reading and accurately interpreting technical drawings
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery
- Carrying out routine machine maintenance
- Troubleshooting and resolving production issues
- Maintaining accurate production and material records
- Applying mathematical calculations for measurements and tolerances
To be successful as a Machine Operative, you will need:
- Previous CNC machining experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Experience with tooling, materials handling, and hand tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good length of service within CNC machining environments
Experience operating CNC Elumatec, CNC HAAS and Elumatec dual mitre saw machinery
Training Provided:Full industry-related training with ongoing development support
