People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our growing waste and recycling operation based in Salisbury. This is a fantastic opportunity offering stability, excellent rates of pay, and long-term opportunities within a professional waste and recycling environment.
This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Refuse Driver, Refuse Truck Driver, Waste Collection Driver, Recycling Driver, or Dustcart Driver.

Day-to-Day Duties
- Carrying out full daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
- Driving the refuse vehicle safely along assigned collection routes
- Operating bin-lifting equipment to empty waste and recycling containers
- Working safely as part of a collection crew and following loading signals
- Ensuring all waste is collected efficiently and routes are completed
- Following strict health and safety procedures at all times, especially in public areas
- Recording and reporting issues such as missed bins, contamination, or access problems
- Providing excellent customer service when dealing with members of the public
- Assisting the collection crew where required
Essential Skills
- A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
- A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences
- No major endorsement codes
- Reliability, professionalism, and punctuality
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A good understanding of road safety and transport compliance
- The ability to work as part of a team in a physically demanding role
Desirable Experience
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience would be advantageous
- Previous experience driving refuse vehicles within the waste management sector would be beneficial
- Experience working in outdoor or physically demanding roles would be desirable

- Full industry-related training provided
- Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
