Tamworth People Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join our well-established client based in Tamworth during their busy peak trading period. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates, planned overtime during peak weeks, weekly pay, and long-term opportunities for top-performing workers. Returning workers from previous peaks may also be eligible for an additional £100 returners bonus, subject to completing all agreed shifts during the peak period (T&Cs apply, please discuss with a People Solutions representative).
This role would suit candidates with previous experience as a Warehouse Operative, Picker Packer, Production Operative, Parcel Sorter, Fulfilment Operative, or Packing Operative.
Shifts:
- Standard Core Shift: PM Shift: 12:30 – 22:30
- Shifts available across 7 days (booked weekly)
- Father's Day Peak Week (w/c 15th June) AM Shift: 04:30 – 16:00 PM Shift: 16:30 – 04:00
- Minimum of 5 shifts per week
Rates of Pay:
- £13.29 per hour – Basic Rate
- £19.93 per hour – Overtime Rate
- Unsocial Hours (23:00 – 06:00): £17.28 per hour – Basic Rate
- £25.92 per hour – Overtime Rate

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Handling products such as gift vouchers, cards, balloons, personalised mugs, chocolates, and gifts
- Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate records
- Preparing, labelling, and packaging items for dispatch
- Moving and organising stock safely within the warehouse
- Using handheld scanners and warehouse equipment
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Meeting daily performance targets and KPIs
- Handling packaged alcohol where required
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Essential Skills:
- A basic level of spoken and written English
- Good reliability and timekeeping
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
- Ability to pass a basic English and numeracy assessment
- Proof of Right to Work in the UK
- Comfortable handling packaged alcohol
- Full availability throughout the 2–3 week Father's Day peak period (including week commencing 15th June 2026) with no pre-booked holidays until after 21st June 2026
- You must be able to work both the standard core shift and one of the peak week shifts
- Own reliable transport to commute to Tamworth (B78)
Desirable Experience:
- Previous warehouse or packing experience
- Experience using handheld scanners or similar equipment
Training:
- Must pass a basic English and numeracy test
- Full industry related training and ongoing support throughout the assignment
