People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join our well-established client based in Motherwell. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for progression. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Multi Drop Van Driver, Truck Driver or Delivery Driver. This role will be ongoing for the right candidate.

Shifts: 5 days out of 7

Rates of Pay: £12.86 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties As a Van Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Completing customer deliveries in a timely manner while adhering to health & safety guidelines
  • Working with a Driver's Mate or second driver where required due to two-person lifting
  • Delivering products to the customer's room of choice
  • Making residential deliveries
  • Providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Carrying out general warehouse duties when required
  • Inputting and processing customer orders using computer systems

Essential Skills To be successful as a Van Driver, you will need:

  • Valid UK Category B driving licence
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience driving 3.5-tonne vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN10, DR10 or DD10 endorsements)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience

Desirable Experience

  • 12 months' multi-drop delivery experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced delivery environment

Training Provided

  • Paid site induction and assessment prior to starting
  • Industry-related training with ongoing support throughout the assignment
