General Labourer / Retail Shop Fitter (CSCS Card) – Based in Tewkesbury. People Solutions are currently recruiting for a General Labourer / Retail Shop Fitter (CSCS Card) to join our client. The company head office is based in Tewkesbury and is only required to be attended once or twice per week, meaning you do not need to live in the local area, just be able to commute. The remainder of the role involves travelling to sites across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established business specialising in the installation of retail interiors, offering training, development, and long-term opportunities for the right candidates.
Shifts
- Working various days and nights between Monday and Sunday
- Minimum 39 hours per week
- Non-standard shift patterns, which may include nights out and weekends
Rates of Pay
- £15.00 – £17.00 per hour
- Night shift bonus and overtime paid at x1.5 after 12 weeks

Day-to-Day Duties
- Installing equipment as required by the client
- Completing jobs individually or as part of a team of fitters and contractors
- Working from designs and diagrams and completing site surveys
- Completing relevant paperwork as required
- Loading and unloading products, ensuring they are secure and undamaged in transit
- Working away from home when necessary, which will involve travel across the UK and occasionally abroad
Essential Skills
- Green CSCS card
- Understanding of health and safety requirements and risks involved in national installations
- Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team
- Understanding of technical diagrams and good hand-to-eye coordination
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Previous experience as a Fitter / Installer / Shop Fitter / General Labourer
- Full UK driving licence (no more than 9 points)
- Current passport and comfortable travelling
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience as a POS Fitter / Retail Fitter / Shop Fitter
Training Provided
- Full training on company policies and procedures provided by the client
