Appley Bridge People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Payroll & HR Administrator to join our well-established client based in Gorton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional with HR administration experience to join a busy and supportive HR team. The successful candidate will take ownership of the monthly payroll process while providing comprehensive HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle.
This role would suit candidates with experience as a Payroll Administrator, HR Administrator or Payroll & Benefits Administrator.
Rates of Pay: £25,475 to £30,602 per annum, dependent on experience
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Process the end-to-end monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Act as the first point of contact for payroll queries
- Maintain payroll records and ensure all payroll administration is up to date
- Process payroll amendments including starters, leavers and contractual changes
- Administer statutory and company sick pay records
- Complete pension administration and submissions
- Produce payroll reports and management information
- Ensure payroll processes remain GDPR compliant
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contracts, amendments and leavers
- Prepare employment contracts and new starter documentation
- Coordinate induction schedules for new employees
- Administer employee benefit schemes
- Manage electric vehicle charging fob administration
- Provide administrative support for HR projects and the Managing Director when required
- Support the development and implementation of HR processes and policies
- Ensure all HR administration complies with GDPR
Essential Skills:
- Previous end-to-end payroll experience
- HR administration experience across the employee lifecycle
- Experience using Sage 50 Payroll
- A good understanding of GDPR and confidentiality
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word and HR systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- A proactive and professional approach to work
Training: Full training will be provided.
