Stores People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver and are looking for consistent night shift work within a professional transport operation.
Shifts: Monday to Friday PM start times between 20:00 and 02:00
Rates of Pay: £18.25 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Completing Class 1 multi-drop deliveries (approximately 5 drops per shift)
- Operating HGV Class 1 / Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly
- Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
- Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
- Assisting with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills:
- Valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence
- Minimum of 12 months' experience driving C+E vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
- Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good spoken and written English
- Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
- Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
Training: Driver assessment required prior to starting. Ongoing industry-related training and support.
