Nuneaton People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.

Shifts: Mornings or Afternoons (Various shifts available)

Pay rate: £15.50 - £16.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties:

  • Operate and drive a Class 2 vehicle in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations - Some Building Sites - All Curtain sided work
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly.
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management.

Essential Skills:

  • Hold a valid UK C Class – Class 2 Licence
  • Must have strapping experience
  • Have a minimum of 6 months experience driving a Class 2 vehicle.
  • No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
  • Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card.
  • Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English.
  • Use a Tail Lift and Pallet Truck or Curtain side and straps
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience driving a Class 2 vehicle using a curtain side with straps
  • Training Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
