People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Severn Beach, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, guaranteed minimum weekly pay, and genuine opportunities for progression within a growing logistics operation. This role would suit candidates with experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-drop Driver, Courier Driver or 3.5 Tonne Driver.

Please note: A DS/DBS check is required for this role.

  • 5 days over 7 working rota
Rates of Pay
  • £14.82 – £22.23 per hour
  • Guaranteed minimum 50 hours pay per week even if routes finish early

Day-to-Day Duties

As a 3.5 Tonne Driver, your duties will include:

  • Carrying out multi-drop deliveries across planned routes
  • Completing between 7–12 drops per day
  • Loading and unloading boxes and packages safely
  • Loading the vehicle for the following day's routes
  • Ensuring all loads are safe and secure during transport
  • Completing vehicle inspections and reporting defects or faults
  • Operating a refrigerated 3.5 Tonne van safely and efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
  • Communicating effectively with customers and delivery locations
  • Monitoring and maintaining correct refrigeration temperatures
Essential Skills

To be successful as a 3.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:

  • A valid UK Category B Driving Licence held for at least two years
  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred
  • Good understanding of vehicle operation and driving regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues
  • Good geographical knowledge and navigation skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and use own initiative
  • Ability to pass a DS/DBS check with good repute
Desirable Experience
  • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
  • Experience operating refrigerated vehicles would be advantageous
Training
  • Full training provided
  • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
