This role would suit candidates with experience as an

HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver, or Truck Driver

  • Shifts
  • Monday to Friday
  • Start times between 04:30 – 06:00
  • Working until job finish
  • Rates of Pay
  • Weekly pay – PAYE

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include

  • Carrying out deliveries to businesses and building sites
  • Operating curtain-side Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Completing pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with safety regulations
  • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations
  • Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
  • Assisting with loading and unloading when required
  • Heavy lifting may be involved
  • Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
  • Completing all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation accurately

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need

  • A minimum of 12 months' Category C driving experience
  • A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
  • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences
  • No major endorsement codes
  • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
  • A good understanding of UK road traffic laws and drivers' hours regulations
  • Good communication and customer service skills

Desirable Experience

  • Previous commercial driving experience would be beneficial
  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience would be advantageous
  • Experience delivering to businesses and construction sites would be desirable
  • Training Provided
  • Driver assessment required prior to starting
  • Full paid induction provided on your first day
  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
