People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Lanark. This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive rates of pay, consistent full-time work, and genuine long-term progression.
Shifts- Night trunking available
- £16.50 – £19.50 per hour
As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive:

As a HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Operating and driving Class 1 (CE) vehicles safely and efficiently
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and completing all required documentation
- Loading and delivering goods between designated locations
- Handling double-decker trailers where required
- Ensuring all loads are safely secured
- Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers
- Adhering to road safety, traffic laws, and company regulations
To be considered for this HGV Class 1 Driver role, you will need:
- A valid UK Category CE Licence
- A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences
- No IN, DR, DD, or CD codes
- A reliable, punctual, and professional approach
- Physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual handling duties
- A strong understanding of road safety and compliance
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in retail or distribution deliveries
Full onboarding support provided:
- Paid two-day site induction
- Ongoing driver support and development throughout your assignment
