People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Tamworth, Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, consistent weekday work and genuine opportunities for long-term progression within a professional logistics environment.
This position is ideal for candidates seeking a role as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Rates:
- £17.00 per hour – Basic
- £19.14 per hour – Saturday
- £25.18 per hour – Sunday
Your benefits as an HGV Class 1 Driver will include:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Completing 2–3 depot-to-depot trunking runs per shift
- Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks before and after shifts
- Ensuring loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations
- Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
- A valid UK Category CE (Class 1) driving licence
- A minimum of twelve month's Class 1 driving experience
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Experience completing trunking or depot-to-depot runs
Training Provided: One-day paid induction following successful assessment.
