People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Water Technician / Van Driver to join our well-established client based in Coalville, East Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress. This role is permanent.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Van Driver, Truck Driver or Delivery Driver.

The ideal candidate must hold a Valid UK Category B Driving Licence.

Shifts:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 06:00 – 15:00

Annual Salary: £29,000

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Deliveries with handballing
  • Operating and driving Van in a safe and efficient manner
  • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues
  • Heavy lifting involved
  • Cleaning of coolers mixed with water

Essential Skills:

  • Hold a valid UK Category B Licence
  • Minimum of 6 months experience driving Vans
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements)
  • Good level of English (spoken and written)
  • Punctual with excellent timekeeping skills
  • Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Physically fit due to the nature of the role

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience driving commercial vehicles
  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience

Training Provided:

  • Industry-related training and ongoing support
