People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Hemel Hempstead. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
Shifts:
- Monday to Friday
- Start times between 05:00 – 06:00
Rates of Pay:
- £16.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Carrying out multi-drop deliveries (handball involved)
- Operating and driving Class 2 (Category C) vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly
- Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required
Essential Skills:
- Valid UK Category C driving licence
- Minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category C vehicles
- Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes
- Good spoken and written English
- Punctual with excellent time-keeping
- Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training:
- Training and support provided throughout the assignment
