Job Description
HGV Class 2 Driver β new passes accepted!
People Solutions are recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to make home deliveries for the UK's number one kitchen retailer based in Barton-Upon-Humber.
This role will become permanent for the right candidate after a successful twelve-week period.
You will need to undergo a DBS check to be considered for this role.
Shifts:
- Monday β Friday: start times between: 04:00 β 06:00
- Overtime available on weekends
Rates of Pay:
- Monday to Friday: Β£16.00 per hour (48 hours guaranteed β Β£39,936 β Β£45,240 per annum)
- Saturday and Sunday overtime available: Β£24.00 per hour
- Quarterly performance bonus Β£750

Day to Day Duties:
As a HGV Class 2 Driver your duties will be:
- Drive a Category C vehicle safely and efficiently
- Make home deliveries
- Work as a two-person team
- Heavy lifting involved
- Handball stock into customer's property (room of choice)
- Make deliveries of kitchen and bedroom fixtures
- Provide excellent customer service
- Multi-drop deliveries -on average eight drops per day
- Ensure vehicle is well presented
- Comply with driving rules and regulations
- Be prepared for various shift lengths
Essential Skills:
The skills required as a HGV Class 2 Driver are:
- Hold a valid UK Category C Driving Licence (new pass drivers accepted)
- Hold a valid UK CPC Card
- Hold a valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
- No major endorsement codes
- Positive 'Can Do' attitude
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must undergo a DBS check for this role
- Must be reasonably physically fit as heavy lifting involved
Desirable Experience:
- Experience making home deliveries as part of a two-person team
- Valid date CSCS Card is desirable
Training:
- Drivers will be required to take a written assessment, drug and alcohol test and driving assessment
- Upon successful assessment, a five-day paid induction
- Industry related training and ongoing support
- Random drug and alcohol testing
