People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Cumbernauld. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Day shifts – start times from 10:00
Pay Rate: Days: £16.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Depot-to-depot trunking
- Trailer swaps and deliveries to shops and depots
- Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
- Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures, and delivery schedules
- Completing all relevant paperwork accurately and on time
Essential Skills:
- Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) driving licence
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
- Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good spoken and written English
- A professional and reliable approach to work
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
Desirable Experience:
- Previous commercial driving experience
Training Provided:
- Driver assessment required prior to start
- Full industry-related training provided with ongoing support throughout your assignment
