CLASS 1 DRIVER
MONDAY TO SUNDAY OPERATION
06:00 START TIMES
£17.00 PER HOUR - £25.50 PER HOUR
People Solutions are recruiting Class 1 Day Drivers for our well-established client based in Huddersfield.
You must undergo a DBS check for this role.
This role could become permanent for the right candidate.

Rates of pay
- Monday to Friday £17.00 per hour
- Saturday and Sunday £25.50 per hour
Day to Day Duties
- Drive a Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently
- Make on time deliveries and collections
- Curtain side trailers
- Ensure trailer is strapped correctly
- Provide excellent customer service
- Make 2-4 deliveries per day
- Must be prepared for various shift lengths
- Ensure vehicle is well presented
- Comply with driving rules and regulations
- Heavy lifting involved
Essential Skills
- Hold a valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
- Hold a valid UK CPC Card
- Hold a valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
- Have a minimum of two years\' experience driving Class 1 vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
- No major endorsement codes
- Positive \'can do\' attitude
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must undergo a DBS check for this role
- Must be reasonably physically fit, as heavy lifting involved
Desirable Experience
- Experience covering general haulage is desirable but not essential
Training
- Drivers may be required to undergo a driving assessment to accepted for this role
- Industry related training and support provided throughout
