CLASS 1 DRIVER

MONDAY TO SUNDAY OPERATION

06:00 START TIMES

£17.00 PER HOUR - £25.50 PER HOUR

People Solutions are recruiting Class 1 Day Drivers for our well-established client based in Huddersfield.

You must undergo a DBS check for this role.

This role could become permanent for the right candidate.

Rates of pay

  • Monday to Friday £17.00 per hour
  • Saturday and Sunday £25.50 per hour

Day to Day Duties

  • Drive a Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently
  • Make on time deliveries and collections
  • Curtain side trailers
  • Ensure trailer is strapped correctly
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Make 2-4 deliveries per day
  • Must be prepared for various shift lengths
  • Ensure vehicle is well presented
  • Comply with driving rules and regulations
  • Heavy lifting involved

Essential Skills

  • Hold a valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
  • Hold a valid UK CPC Card
  • Hold a valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
  • Have a minimum of two years\' experience driving Class 1 vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
  • No major endorsement codes
  • Positive \'can do\' attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must undergo a DBS check for this role
  • Must be reasonably physically fit, as heavy lifting involved

Desirable Experience

  • Experience covering general haulage is desirable but not essential

Training

  • Drivers may be required to undergo a driving assessment to accepted for this role
  • Industry related training and support provided throughout
