HGV Class 1 Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Crick, Northamptonshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine room to grow and progress.
Shifts:
- Wednesday to Sunday – 22:00 to 02:00 start times
Rates of Pay:
- Monday to Friday – £18.50 per hour
- Saturday – £21.00 per hour
- Sunday – £23.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
- Depot-to-depot trunking (no handball)
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all cargo is loaded, transported, and secured safely
- Adhering to traffic laws, company policies, and delivery schedules
- Completing all necessary paperwork accurately
Essential Skills:
To be successful as a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
- A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
- Minimum of twelve months\’ experience driving Category CE vehicles
- No more than six penalty points (minor infringements only)
- A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good spoken and written English
Desirable Experience:
- Previous commercial driving experience
Training Provided:
- Drivers must pass a driving assessment prior to starting
- Industry-related training and ongoing support provided
