HGV Class 1 Driver

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Crick, Northamptonshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine room to grow and progress.

Shifts:

  • Wednesday to Sunday – 22:00 to 02:00 start times

Rates of Pay:

  • Monday to Friday – £18.50 per hour
  • Saturday – £21.00 per hour
  • Sunday – £23.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Depot-to-depot trunking (no handball)
  • Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensuring all cargo is loaded, transported, and secured safely
  • Adhering to traffic laws, company policies, and delivery schedules
  • Completing all necessary paperwork accurately

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

  • A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
  • Minimum of twelve months\’ experience driving Category CE vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points (minor infringements only)
  • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good spoken and written English

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous commercial driving experience

Training Provided:

  • Drivers must pass a driving assessment prior to starting
  • Industry-related training and ongoing support provided
