People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 ADR Driver to join our well-established client based in Middlesbrough .

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver , CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver .
Shifts:
• Monday to Friday
• Start times: 17:00
Rates of Pay:
£19.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as a HGV Class 1 ADR Driver will be:
• Transporting goods on a curtain-sided vehicle (no handball involved)
• Completing trunk runs between depots or client sites
• Operating and driving HGV Class 1 (CE) vehicles safely and efficiently
• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
• Ensuring all loads are safe, secure, and compliant
• Adhering to traffic laws and company procedures
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly
Essential Skills:
The skills required to be a HGV Class 1 ADR are:
• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• Minimum of twelve month's experience driving Class 1 (CE) vehicles
• Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• ADR Certificate (essential)
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsements)
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
• Sound understanding of UK road transport regulations
Desirable Experience:
• Previous commercial driving experience in trunking or regional logistics
Training:
Industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
