Job Description HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – MULTI-DROP – Chesterfield - \n People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Chesterfield . \n Earn up to £23.00 per hour | Monday to Friday | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work | Weekend Overtime Available | Immediate Starts \n This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for long-term progression within a well-established logistics operation. \n This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, Tramper Driver or Multi-Drop Driver . \n Shifts \n

• Monday to Friday (Weekend work available) \n
• AM start times between 04:00 – 08:00 \n Rates of Pay \n
• £19.00 per hour – Monday to Friday \n
• £21.50 per hour – Saturday \n
• £23.00 per hour – Sunday \n

• Employee Wellbeing Programme \n Day-to-Day Duties \n As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include but not be limited to: \n
• Completing Class 1 multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently \n
• Operating Category C+E vehicles in line with company and DVSA regulations \n
• Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections \n
• Ensuring all loads are secure prior to departure \n
• Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork and Digital Tachograph records \n
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers \n
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly \n
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required \n Essential Skills \n To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need: \n
• A valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence \n
• A minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience \n
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card \n
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card \n
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes) \n
• Good spoken and written English \n
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping \n
• A good understanding of UK road traffic laws and Driver Hours Regulations \n
• Strong communication skills \n Desirable Experience \n
• Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience \n
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience \n
• Experience working within a fast-paced logistics environment \n Training Provided \n
• Driver assessment required prior to starting \n
• One-day paid induction following a successful assessment \n
