Goole People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client's growing transport operation in Goole. This is a fantastic opportunity offering stability, great earning potential, and long-term progression. This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Truck Driver.

Shifts:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Various start times (tramping role)

Rates of Pay:

  • £18.00 to £24.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Safely operating Category CE vehicles to and from delivery locations
  • Completing loading and unloading tasks with care and accuracy
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects to management
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
  • Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
  • Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers, and site staff
  • Carrying out some manual handling duties

Essential Skills:

  • A valid UK Category CE Licence
  • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, CD codes)
  • Reliability, professionalism, and punctuality
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Understanding of road safety and compliance

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
  • Experience handling large or bulky goods
  • Strong customer interaction and service skills

Training:

  • Full industry-related training provided
  • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
