People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Ballieston. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

Day-to-Day Duties
- Delivery of goods from store to home and trunking work
- Operating Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all loads are secure before transport
- Adhering to traffic laws and driving regulations
- Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
- Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
Essential Skills
- Valid UK Category CE Licence
- Minimum of 24 months' experience driving CE vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)
- Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Good spoken and written English
- Excellent punctuality and time-keeping skills
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Previous commercial driving experience
- Multi-drop delivery experience
Training Provided
- Driver assessment required (including theory test)
- One-week paid induction following a successful assessment
