People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Container Driver – C+E to join our well-established client based in Coatbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a respected logistics operation.
This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for consistent container work and long-term opportunities.
Shifts- Friday to Monday: Start time from 5.00am and 6.00am
- £14.74 per hour – Friday
- £22.13 per hour – Saturday
- £22.13 per hour – Sunday
- £14.74 per hour – Monday
As an HGV Class 1 Container Driver, you will receive:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Operating Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing container collections and deliveries
- Handling double-decker trailers on certain routes
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring all loads are secured and transported safely
- Completing loading and delivery duties as required
- Communicating effectively with transport and warehouse teams
- Adhering to UK traffic laws, road safety regulations and company procedures
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Container Driver, you will need:
- A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
- A valid Driver CPC qualification
- A valid Digital Tachograph card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences
- No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsement codes
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Reliable, professional and punctual
- Strong understanding of road safety and compliance
- Previous container driving experience
- Full onboarding support provided
- Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
