People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Cambulslang, South Lanarkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Rates of pay: £17.39 per hour

Day to Day Duties: Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
- Delivery of goods from store to home and trunking
- Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Essential Skills: As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will need to:
- Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
- Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving CE vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
- Complete a drug and alcohol test
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience: Experience driving any commercial vehicles, previous experience with multi drop deliveries. Training Driver's Assessment will have to be completed including theory test. After successful Assessment, there will be a one week paid induction which will take place on a day.
