General Operative
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join our well-established client based in Sywell, Northamptonshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, long-term work, and real opportunities for progression within a growing business.
Shifts
• 4 on 4 off rota
• Two days – 07:00am to 07:00pm
• Two nights – 07:00pm to 07:00am
Rates of Pay
• £12.21 per hour (days)
• £13.82 per hour (nights)
Benefits
• Weekly pay
• Excellent hourly rates
• Weekend overtime available
• Opportunity to go permanent
Day-to-Day Duties
• Repairing pallets to company quality standards
• Checking pallets for damage, defects and overall quality
• Using hand tools such as electric saws, nail guns and spray guns
• Working between indoor and outdoor areas depending on workload
• Using pump trucks to safely move pallets around the site
Essential Skills
• Good level of English to follow written and verbal instructions
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Experience
• Previous experience using power tools or working in a similar environment
Training Provided
• Full training provided by the client
• Shadow shifts with an experienced trainer prior to working independently
