- Supportive and Professional Working Environment Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Operating Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
- Completing loading and delivery duties as required
- Operating double-decker trailers on designated routes
- Ensuring all loads are secured safely before transport
- Communicating effectively with transport and warehouse teams
- Adhering to all road traffic legislation, health and safety procedures and company policies
- Completing all relevant paperwork accurately and on time Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
- A valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence
- A valid UK CPC Qualification Card
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD or CD endorsements)
- A good level of physical fitness to carry out manual handling duties where required
- A reliable, professional and punctual attitude
- A good understanding of road safety and transport compliance Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within distribution or retail deliveries
- Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience Training Provided
- Full onboarding support including a paid two-day site induction
