Duties: As a Food Manufacturing Operative, your duties will include
- Operating large industrial cooking kettles used to prepare and cook sauces
- Monitoring cooking times and temperatures to ensure products meet specification
- Operating automated machinery that fills and heat-seals sauces into bags
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process
- Accurately weighing finished products
- Palletising finished stock ready for dispatch
- Setting and operating production machinery
- Following production recipes and work instructions
- Completing production records using computer-based systems
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene, quality and Health & Safety standards
- Working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
- Manual handling and standing for long periods throughout your shift
Essential
Skills: The successful candidate will have
- Previous Machine Operating or Machine Setting experience
- Experience within food production or manufacturing
- Good attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
