People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Widnes, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress. This position would suit applicants looking for a role as a HGV Driver, LGV Driver or Truck Driver.
Shifts:
- Working five days out of seven
- Start times between 05:00 – 06:00
Rates of Pay:
- £15.25- £16.25 per hour
Benefits: As a HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will receive:
- Ongoing position with a leading company in the industry
- Thorough first-day assessment and two weeks of training alongside experienced staff
- Approximate 8–10 hour shift lengths
Day-to-Day Duties: As a HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Working a five-day week, Monday to Friday
- Driving Category C1 vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing 12–25 product deliveries to commercial properties across the North West
- Taking photographs to document successful deliveries
- Addressing customer concerns and reporting issues promptly to your line manager
Essential Skills: To be successful as a HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:
- Minimum of 24 months' experience as a 7.5 Tonne Driver
- Valid UK Category C1 driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 codes)
- No major endorsement codes
- Strong customer service skills
Training:
- Paid site induction
- Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout the assignment
