People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our well-established client based in Grangemouth. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional looking to take the next step in their career. We are looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid to get involved in the day-to-day operation, leading by example and supporting the warehouse team to deliver outstanding customer service.

This role would suit applicants who have worked as a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader or Distribution Team Leader.

Shifts: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm One-hour unpaid break

Pay Rate: £14.42 to £16.34 per hour (equating to £30,000 to £34,000 per annum)

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the warehouse operation
  • Leading and motivating a small warehouse team, ensuring daily priorities are achieved
  • Receiving, checking and booking in incoming stock
  • Unloading containers and supplier deliveries
  • Operating Counterbalance, Reach and Bendi Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently
  • Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders accurately and on time
  • Maintaining warehouse organisation, housekeeping and stock control
  • Managing stock rotation, batch codes and expiry dates
  • Planning daily delivery schedules and coordinating courier collections
  • Ensuring delivery vehicles are loaded and prepared for dispatch
  • Monitoring operational performance and supporting continuous improvements
  • Maintaining high standards of Health and Safety throughout the warehouse
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service
  • Providing operational updates and supporting the achievement of business objectives

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory, team leader or management role
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing demands
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ideally hold RTITB Counterbalance, Reach Truck and Bendi Forklift licences
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control and Health and Safety

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience within distribution, wholesale, industrial, janitorial or hygiene sectors would be advantageous
  • Experience using warehouse management or ERP systems is desirable

Training: Ongoing support and development will be provided. Forklift training available for the right candidate if required.
