Job Description

Non-LGV (Van) Night Driver – Southampton People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Non-LGV (Van) Night Driver to join our well-established client based in Southampton, Hampshire .

This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive rates of pay, ongoing work, and the opportunity to work with a leading logistics provider.

This role would suit candidates with previous experience as a Van Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver, Commercial Driver, 3.5 Tonne Driver, or Parcel Driver.

Shifts• Night shift – 02:30 to 11:20Rates of Pay• £15.75 - £16.31 per hour Benefits As a Non-LGV (Van) Night Driver, you will receive:• Ongoing work opportunities

  • Opportunity to work with a well-established logistics client Day-to-Day Duties As a Non-LGV (Van) Night Driver, your duties will include:• Completing multi-drop deliveries in a safe and timely manner
  • Loading and unloading the vehicle as required
  • Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
  • Ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Maintaining delivery records and paperwork where applicable
  • Following all road traffic laws and company procedures
  • Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
  • Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean, secure, and roadworthy throughout the shift Essential Skills To be successful as a Non-LGV (Van) Night Driver, you will need:• A valid UK Category B Driving Licence
  • Previous van driving or multi-drop delivery experience preferred
  • A good understanding of road safety and driving regulations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • A reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work Desirable Experience• Previous experience in bakery or food distribution
  • Experience driving Sprinter vans
  • Knowledge of multi-drop delivery routes Training Provided• Site induction
