People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Hiab Driver - Brick Grab to join our well-established client based in Hermiston Gait Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity offering competitive pay rates and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
To be considered for this role, you must hold a valid grab HIAB licence.
Shifts: Monday to Friday: 07.00 - 16.30
Pay Rate: £16.25 - £18.00 per hour

Day-to-day duties: As a Class 2 Hiab Driver Brick Grab Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Delivering building materials to construction sites
- Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
- Using a HIAB/lorry-mounted crane in a safe and efficient manner
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all Freight is loaded and secured properly
- Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required
Essential skills: To be successful as a Class 2 Hiab Driver, you will need:
- A valid grab HIAB licence - Brick Grab
- A valid UK Category C licence, CPC card, and Digi card
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
- The ability to use a PDA (personal digital assistant)
- Good spoken and written English
- Punctuality and strong time-keeping skills
- A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
- The ability to work well as part of a team
Desirable experience: Previous commercial driving experience (beneficial but not essential) and previous multi-drop experience (beneficial but not essential).
Training: Training will be provided on your first day, with ongoing support throughout.
