People Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established retail client based in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity offering competitive pay rates, ongoing work, and the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

This role will suit candidates who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 06:00 start time

Pay Rates:

£16.00 – £17.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Conduct trunk runs safely and efficiently
  • Operate Class 1 vehicles in line with company procedures and road transport regulations
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure the unit is clean and well presented
  • Safely load and secure all goods before departure
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and compliance standards

Essential Skills:

  • Valid UK Category CE Licence (HGV Class 1)
  • Minimum of 24 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles
  • Valid UK CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Maximum of six penalty points with no major endorsement codes (IN, DR, DD, TT etc.)
  • Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
  • Professional and reliable work ethic

Training:

Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout.
