People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 ADR Driver to join our well-established client based in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, weekly pay, and genuine opportunities for long-term work and career progression.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Start times: 17:00
Rates of Pay: £19.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Transporting goods on a curtain-sided vehicle (no handball involved)
- Completing trunk runs between depots or client sites
- Operating and driving HGV Class 1 (CE) vehicles safely and efficiently
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
- Ensuring all loads are safe, secure, and compliant
- Adhering to traffic laws and company procedures
- Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly
Essential Skills:
- Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
- Minimum of twelve months experience driving Class 1 (CE) vehicles
- Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- ADR Certificate (essential)
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsements)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- Sound understanding of UK road transport regulations
Desirable Experience:
- Previous commercial driving experience in trunking or regional logistics
Training: Industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
